Echoes and Evolutions

Trace the threads of musical inspiration with two virtuosic concertos with an intriguing connection. This concert pairs a famous masterwork (Mendelssohn’s violin concerto) with a hidden gem (Bohme’s trumpet concerto). We’ll start with a short demonstration of the echoes between the pieces, designed to help you appreciate the music even more.

After showcasing the violin and trumpet separately with skilful piano accompaniment, all three instruments unite in Ewazen’s lyrical and vibrant trio.

Come and explore the world of musical inspiration and walk out feeling inspired yourself.
