⚡️THE POWER OF THE PELVIS! STRENGTHEN YOUR HIPS AND LOWER BACK
⚡️This workshop is for anyone who wants to:
• Improve strength in their lower back and hips
• Improve mobility
• Increase muscle mass
• Develop skills to help reduce pain
• Prevent Injuries
• Slow down the ageing process.
• Reduce the risk of arthritis and osteoporosis or slow down any
pre-existing conditions
• Improve their understanding of the pelvis's role, especially if
they have symptoms.
From releasing tension to gaining strength, you’ll learn different techniques on how to create balance in the whole of your pelvis – whether you have a condition or not - and understand how to maintain and progress that acquired strength, what to avoid if you have a hip condition and how you can adapt postures.
⚡️A BIT ABOUT ME
I’m primarily a qualified Hatha and Somatic Yoga teacher (RYS 500+) of over 20 years with numerous qualifications in preventative and restorative exercises. I’m also a L3 Personal Trainer and an Exercise Referral Instructor with thousands of hours of teaching classes to people of all ages and fitness abilities.
⚡️WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT FOR
The afternoon is not suitable for everyone. Although adaptions can be made (and many can be done from a chair) please don’t attend if you have had recent surgery on your hips, are currently in a lot of pain and/or have inflammation in the joint. The afternoon will involve some lying on the floor. If you cannot lie on the floor, there are adaptions, but you may miss out on some exercises. Please let me know of any medical issues or concerns that you may have.
⚡️WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU:
- a fitness/yoga mat to lie on (I have some spares)
- a yoga block, belt, Theraband/flexiband if you have them (I have
spares)
- dumbbells/kettlebells if you have any (I have spares but
these MUST be pre-booked)
- a bottle of water
- blanket
- a notepad and pen to take notes (optional)

The class will be in English. I can speak some Welsh, but not to the level required to teach this class. However, I'm happy to converse in Welsh.
