Join master percussionist Sidiki Dembélé & his carefully curated, incredibly talented ensemble, Percussion d’Abobo, for unforgettable nights of drumming, song, dance & revelry.
The group emerged from a local training programme created by Sidiki to share traditional rhythms with a new generation and build opportunities through music.
The ensemble performs powerful, high-energy pieces rooted in Mandeng musical traditions, including djembe, dunun, and balafon. Each member has been trained in both technique and cultural understanding, with a focus on respect, discipline, and group cohesion. Performances are joyful, intricate, and deeply rooted in heritage — but always looking forward.
This electric show is touring the UK with 5 exclusive performances, bringing the tradition of West African music to a new generation.
