Mae'r fasged gron hon yn dysgu techneg sylfaenol basgedwaith brwyn. Byddwch yn dysgu gwahanol batrymau gwehyddu i wehyddu basged gron gan ddefnyddio fforma (check weave). This round basket teaches the basic technique of rush basketry. You will learn different weave patterns to weave a round basket using a forma. First, we will weave the base of the basket using a check weave and pairing. Then to add dimension to the shape we will attach the basket to the forma to weave the sides in a combination of weave patterns. To finish a border will be turned down to create a neat finish to your basket.
Materials provided: rush and use of tools.
Please wear old clothes or apron, gloves optional but not essential.
Please note: Participants will need to have reasonable strength and dexterity in their hands to weave.
