About the event

After the Death: Understanding, Coping, and Helping with Grief
Grieving can be hard in our death- and grief-averse culture. Those who are grieving often feel isolated and misunderstood, while those who care aren’t sure how best to help. In this course we will learn about the purpose of grief and how it works. We will discuss strategies for coping with our own grief, as well as best practices for helping those who are grieving. The class will include a lecture and plenty of group discussion led by Jane Cornman, the bereavement services coordinator for Northern Light Homecare and Hospice’s Brewer and Waterville locations.

This event is free and is open to members and non-members. In-person, with a recording for later viewing. To register, go to: https://pvscmaine.org/course/after-the-death-understanding-coping-and-helping-with-grief-jane-cornman/
