This tour attempts to bring together two major sights in Bangkok, offering a rich take on Thailand’s everlasting cultural heritage and appeal. There are different packages to choose from within the ticket, including visits to The Ancient City and Erawan Museum. For those looking to have an all-rounded Thai experience, you can add a Khan Toke lunch or dinner to the equation. Khan Toke does not signify the cuisine but the presentation of the food. It is a small round wooden table, adorned with carvings and finished with lacquer.
Ancient City is one of the world’s largest open-air museums. Comprising of many replicas and reconstructions of Thailand's historically significant structures, this city is essentially a scaled-down version of Thailand in itself. See authentic wooden villages, renowned temples, shrines, floating marketplaces, rural arts, ancient tools, and hunting equipment, that provide evidence of the long-term survival of this native culture.
Elevate your immersion in Thai culture and history by renting traditional Thai costumes before exploring. Enjoy round-trip transfers to and from Hug Thai and skip the hassle of finding a commute!
Comprising of three levels representing the Underworld, Earth, and Heaven, the Erawan Museum displays rare eastern antiques, religious iconography, and psychedelic décor. Start at the Suvannabhumi level and discover rare treasures consisting of Chinese porcelain, Chakri Dynasty tea sets, and Benjarong ceramics. The Earth section displays technicolored walls rich in artistic exuberance. On top of it all stands the Tavatimsa Heaven, where ideas and art-forms fuse together in a series of images depicting Buddha.
