Introduction to Playback Theatre workshop

Playback theater is a format of improvised and interactive theatre where we take stories from the audience and play/ perform it back for the audience on the spot using movement, music, metaphor and dialogue. 

This 2 day workshop by Threads and Tales will introduce you to this beautiful form- through improv exercises/ theatre games and also a few basic playback theatre forms that will make it possible for you to start practicing Playback theatre. This two day workshop also helps you to enhance your creativity and spontaneity, fosters deep listening and inclusivity 

This workshop will benefit anyone who:

*wants to learn playback theatre (unscripted improvised theatre)

*wants to work on their listening skills/inclusivity

*wants to work on their spontaneity/creativity

* are looking at a safe space that meets every week where you can share your stories / see them getting played back

The workshop will be facilitated by Mansee Shah, the founder of Lahe Lahe Caravan and Threads and Tales which is an Applied Theatre initiative by Mansee. 

When: Sept 13 and 14, 10 am to 6 pm 

Where: Bhandutvas Domlur (Qutum now)

Eligibility: 16+ (upto 99 years) 

Cost: Rs. 5500 (including Workshop, Lunch and Tea/ coffee on both days) and an invite to be a part of our Playback Theatre group, Threads and Tales
