International Observe the Moon Night 2025

Join with thousands of people around the globe and look up the moon. On International Observe the Moon Night 2025, We’ll have astronomers present to help you identify the features of the moon.
The evening session will also include viewing the moon and other stellar objects through our telescopes, a tour of the observatory, and a short talk. If viewing is not possible (due to cloudy weather) a virtual sky tour will replace viewing (participants can opt to view the virtual sky tour or recieve a raincheck for viewing on another evening)

A minimum number of participants (4) is required for each session to proceed. If this number is not met, the Ballaarat Astronomical Society reserves the right to cancel the session. In such cases, participants will be contacted and offered a refund or the option to reschedule.
