Australian Jousting Championship 2025 at Kryal Castle

The Australian Jousting Championship returns to Kryal Castle on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September! Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of medieval action as brave knights compete for glory and the title of Australia’s best jouster. 

The tournament stays true to the Middle Ages with knights in replica medieval armour historical rules and three-metre lances delivering bone-rattling hits. This truly is the world’s first extreme sport! The champion will be announced immediately after the competition on Sunday 14 September.

Beyond the joust the weekend offers plenty of medieval fun for all ages including: 
Medieval merchants: Visit artisans offering authentic wares from handcrafted garments to sparkling jewels
Archery: Test your aim and skill as you take a shot at hitting the bullseye
Axe throwing: Step up grab an axe and see if you’ve got what it takes to hit the target
Kids activities: Including potion making face painting and more
