Glan-llyn is situated on the shore of Llyn Tegid near Bala and has provided quality outdoor education courses for young people since 1950. The centre has developed over the years and is now considered one of Wales's leading outdoor education centres.
Activities include canoeing, raft building, high ropes, archery, climbing walls, orienteering and bushcraft. Groups of families will rotate between the activities.
These activities give individuals the chance to overcome any fears they may have, and it is important to remember that no one is forced to participate in any activity and that it is the individual's choice to face their fears during their stay.
The activities on offer have an element of risk. Glan-llyn staff are trained and qualified to manage all risks within our activities. Staff members are all DBS checked and have recently completed Disability Inclusion Training, and some activity leaders have level 1 Makation training.

There is provision for wheelchair users to participate in all activities. Two family rooms are fully wheelchair accessible with wet rooms.
There will be 4 meals available: breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. The centre can accommodate special dietary requirements such as gluten-free, dairy-free and Halal.
Each block has a lounge for relaxing and watching TV in the evenings and a simple kitchen for the use of every family, with simple facilities such as a kettle, fridge, microwave and sink.
Families are welcome to meet in the canteen area outside of meal times and use the tea and coffee-making facilities.
You can book your place now with a deposit of £20.
We require payment in full by the 1st of May to enable us to book blocks solely for the use of our families.
