Youlgreave Yomp (Short!) Now 11:15 Start ! :)

I’m planning on doing a series of short (5 to 6 mile) winter walks starting at lunchtime on Saturdays and finishing well before dark.

This one will be from Youlgreave meeting outside the George Hotel (Alport Lane, DE45 1WN, What3Words = reclining.straw.sneezing ) at 11:15 for an 11:30 start.
Street parking can be tricky but there’s often space on Alport Lane (before entering the village) and on Conksbury Lane.

We’ll walk through the village and down to the river (passing public toilets on the way!) heading along the Bradford towards Alport where we’ll get to the Lathkill and eventually wonder along its banks. There’s a rocky section before we get to Over Haddon and then a steep incline to reach Meadow Place Grange which will be muddy! Across the cow fields meeting the Limestone Way and then into Middleton (more loos) and back along the banks of the Bradford once more. Should take around 2 ½ Hours ish.
