The San Joaquin Treads S.C. are thrilled to host our Second Annual BAKO de los MUERTOS ride!
Here’s the plan:
Start Time:
We’ll meet at Cafe Smitten around 9 AM. Grab some breakfast if you’d like!
Location:
(909 18th St, Bakersfield, CA)
The Ride:
We’ll hit the road just after 10 AM for a breathtaking canyon ride over the Greenhorn Mountains, heading to the famous Kern River Brewing Co. for lunch.
Lunch destination:
(13415 Sierra Way, Kernville, CA)
After lunch, we’ll cruise past Lake Isabella and zip down the Kern River Canyon, making our way back to Downtown Bakersfield, ending up at Tiki-Ko!
(1919 K St, Bakersfield, CA)
A taco 🌮 cart will provide complementary food outside. Tiki drinks 🍹 will be available inside!
This will be a 100+ mile ride, so gear up and get ready!
We’ll fuel up at the edge of town and again in Kernville before heading back.
Truck parking will be available either at the meetup spot or the end location—just a few blocks apart.
For those traveling from out of town and looking to stay overnight, we’ve got a few hotel options:
Best Western Plus Hill House: Close enough to walk to downtown, affordable, and relatively nice and safe.

Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center: Walkable and nice.
