Adult sewing workshop: Learn to hem

Join The Studio and Amanda as she shares her love of sewing with her community. In this workshop attendees will learn to operate a sewing machine and hem their garments. This is such a valuable skill and we can’t wait for you to join us!

Price: Two ticket options:

1. Whole workshop $65: This choice is good for someone that has little to no knowledge of sewing and operating a sewing machine.From 10-12pm we will learn the basics of machine operation and the second half, 12-2pm, we will learn to hem and practice on items you bring.

2. Second half of workshop $50: This choice is good for someone that already knows how to operate their machine but is interested in learning to hem and apply this technique to personal items. This half of the workshop will go from 12-2pm.

Note****This class is NON-REFUNDABLE but it is transferable.

We are located inside of Three Door Studios at 20th and D street

Time:

Full workshop: 10-2pm

Second half: 12-2pm

What is provided:

Sewing machines, tools, thread, and scrap material for practicing (if you have your own machine it is encouraged that you bring it)

Snacks

What to bring:

-We will provide material to practice on but if you have a garment you would like to alter, bring that item (examples: pants/skirts/dress)

-Snacks of your own and water
