Character roles include:
Mollie Ralston, 20s–30s, female-presenting: Warm, kind, and eager to prove herself as the owner of a new guesthouse. She often tries to keep the peace but becomes increasingly stressed as secrets unfold. Requires emotional range and strong stage presence.
Giles Ralston, 20s–40s, male-presenting: Mollie’s husband. Protective, a bit jealous, and quick to jump to conclusions. Has a temper but loves Mollie deeply. Actors should show both charm and suspicion.
Christopher Wren, 20s–30s, male-presenting: An excitable, quirky, childlike young man with a love for architecture. Socially awkward, dramatic, and unpredictable — one of the most colorful roles in the show.
Mrs. Boyle, 50+, female-presenting: A critical, imposing older woman who is impossible to please. Sharp-tongued, formal, and demanding. Strong comedic timing is a plus. Classic Christie-style busybody.
Major Metcalf, 40s–60s, male-presenting: A polite, retired military man. Calm, steady, observant, and trustworthy. Or so he seems. A grounding presence onstage.
Miss Casewell, 20s–40s, female-presenting: Mysterious, aloof, and confident. Speaks very little about her past and maintains a guarded persona. Strong, still, powerful energy.
Mr. Paravicini, 40+, male-presenting: A foreign gentleman with a flair for the theatrical. Odd, unsettling, and mischievous — he may be hiding his true identity. Opportunity for a fun comedic-but-creepy performance.
Detective Sergeant Trotter, 20s–40s, male-presenting: Energetic, determined, and intense. Arrives on skis to investigate a murder. Must command the stage and drive the story forward. Smart, suspicious, and relentless.
