"Alternative Facts: The Lies of Executive Order 9066," a film by Jon Osaki

"Alternative Facts: The Lies of Executive Order 9066" is a one-hour documentary that examines the false claims used to justify the mass removal and incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II. Through archival records and first-hand accounts, the film reveals how fear and misinformation shaped government policy, and highlights the importance of vigilance in protecting civil liberties. This free screening, courtesy of the Bainbridge Public Library, is a highly recommended prerequisite for the Civil Liberties Symposium on October 5, 2025 (bijaema.org/symposium). All are welcome!
