About the event

First Day Hike

Join us for a guided one-mile hike to kick off the year right, in nature on January 1st, 2026! Be sure to dress for the weather with warm layers and good hiking boots. The hike will be led by South Dakota Volunteer Naturalists. Hikers should meet at the boat ramp. If the temperatures, including the wind chill, are 0 degrees or below, the hike will be cancelled.
