About Lennie Gallant
East Coast songwriter Lennie Gallant has released fifteen albums of original songs, earning numerous awards and nominations from the JUNOs, Les Prix Éloizes, and The ECMAs. His powerful songwriting has been described as “true slices of life delivered with a poet’s flair and a rugged emotional sensibility.” His iconic song “Peter’s Dream”, a poignant reflection on the state of the oceans and the lives of those who depend on them, was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Lennie has performed internationally, both with his band and alongside symphony orchestras, and his songs have been recorded by many artists. He has shared the stage with legends like Jimmy Buffett and David Foster, and co-wrote two tracks on Buffett’s final album, even appearing as a featured artist. In one of the most unique honors for any musician, one of Lennie’s albums was taken to the International Space Station, orbiting Earth 248 times—truly giving him worldwide high rotation!
His album Time Travel was named a Top 10 Album of the Year by Canadian music industry professionals, and his original Christmas album continues to sell out tours year after year. In addition to his solo career, Lennie performs with his partner Patricia Richard in the acclaimed Francophone duo Sirène et Matelot, whose music enjoys strong airplay and chart success.
