BacchChat: Bacchus Marsh in 1883 - Through the lens of Stevenson and McNicoll

Presented by Bacchus Marsh and District Historical Society.

In 1883 travelling photographers Stevenson and McNicoll visited Bacchus Marsh and took photographs of the town and district. The images show people, shops, businesses, houses and farms. It is a rare example of a visual record of a community at a point in time in the nineteenth century. This talk will show many of the images and reveal the stories and history preserved by this set of images.
