Lunch & Learn featuring Margie Sartin on "Decoding Whale Communication"

On Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, Margie Sartin will present "Decoding Whale Communication: How new technologies, including AI, are moving field research forward at lightning speed." This engaging lecture highlights some of the current breakthroughs in whale and whale-human communication, how this knowledge may potentially affect our feelings towards the worlds’ whale populations, and how this research and interaction could potentially affect various species of whales themselves.

Margie is a retired professional librarian and educator who has lived in the Four Corners area for 41 years. She enjoys delving into deep research on topics that involve the natural sciences. She often uses this material in her other hobby... writing creative nonfiction.
