'Stargazing for All' - Author Talk with Karen Hedges

Your app can tell you the name of what you can see in the night sky, but wouldn’t you like to know exactly what it is that you are looking at? You may hear on the news that there is a meteor shower, or a particular planet visible, would you know where to look… or how?
Karen will be talking about her book, which is a friendly guide to space suitable for those both new to astronomy and for amateur astronomers whose memories may need refreshing from time to time. Astronomy is a vast subject that can be intimidating to comprehend, but the book and associated author talk will provide a gentle way into this fascinating subject. The good thing is, no prior knowledge or specialist equipment is needed for you to enjoy the points of light in the nighttime darkness!
