Closure of the Strawberry Line

🚧 Important notice: temporary closure of the Strawberry Line 🚧

On Tuesday 16 December 2025, the Strawberry Line will be closed from 9am to 5pm to all users between the Woodborough Road bridge and Winscombe Sports Club for essential Ash dieback safety work.

The work is scheduled to take one day, but may extend into Wednesday 17 December if required.

Why is this necessary? Ash dieback is a serious tree disease with no cure. These works are vital to prevent injuries and keep the route safe for everyone. 👉 Learn more here: Ash dieback | North Somerset Council.

📍 Please see map showing the location of the works and the diversion route.

Please note: The diversion cannot be fully on footpaths or pavements due to the location. Therefore, please take extra care when walking along The Lynch.

🔍 Further works are planned between the sports club and the tunnel, and from the tunnel to the A38, these are scheduled for January and end of March / early April 2026.
