2025 Avella History Fair "Showcasing Avella's Italian History"

2025 Avella History Fair scheduled
The A. D. White Research Society will hold the 2025 Avella History Fair on Saturday, September 27. The theme is: “Showcasing Avella’s Italian History!”, paying tribute to workers from towns and villages in Italy who came to Avella to find work, mainly in the local coal mimes. Maps, exhibits and games will highlight where the immigrants came from and their contributions to the local area over the past century.
The Fair will run from 11:00AM until 4:00PM in the Independence Township Community Center, 11 School Court in Avella. Exhibits of historical and community interest will be available. Additionally there will be craft venders and food service available.
