We are forming a community of women to learn how we can repair relationships with our adult children and to be witnessed with compassion. We realize there are no easy answers, but there IS hope. This is a journey; the starting point is learning about ourselves in what might be new and expansive ways. And we heal in community.
At our first meeting, when I introduced the book, "Mother Hunger" by Kelly McDaniel, everyone was excited to read it together. So we've got a month to get the book, read and digest the first couple of chapters.
Yyou can find the book for less than $10 on Ebay, or maybe through the library. We're just going to read the Introduction and chapters 1 and 2. We'll progress through the book together over the next several meetings.
For me and every women I know who has read Mother Hunger, this book has been an enlightening, life changing, affirming, and powerful tool in understanding myself as a daughter first - and then as a mother.
Please bring a journal and a pen, and your copy of the book.

Please RSVP so that I can secure ample space for us at the coffeeshop.
HOW TO FIND US: As you enter the Cherrywood Coffeehouse, look to the right. There's an area separated by a low wall. We're there.
