WITCH’S FAQ’s:

Seasons Greetings, Distinguished Guests!

Your favorite Hallow-Queen here, and if you recall…I’m no basic witch. If you remember what happened during UNDEAD, then you know I *must* reset the balance and stir up some mischief. I assure you, this is snow joke.

All of these holiday decorations and parties make me sick! I hate winter, and I must take things into my own cold hands. Oh, don’t be snow dramatic! It’s going to be perfectly splendid. How about a little winteractive game?

I'm remarkably excited to take you with me on this journey from the UNDEAD Woods (where we last left off) and into Winterland where you will meet Señor Snow, The Polar Bear, and Lumira, the Ice Unicorn. Together, they uphold the balance and sustain the harmony of Winterland… a “little town,  quiet village”… like I said, makes me sick! The Village People don’t snow what’s coming their way, as they are busy preparing for the annual Snowflake Ball. Well pardon the winterruption, this gonna be as eezy freezy as taking a snowball from a penguin.

Glisten up! Please watch your ticket confirmation email closely for further information about what to wear, where to park, event schedule, etc. You should receive this wintery note a couple of days before the show.

In the meantime, I’m sure you’re wondering what the elf is going on… I’ll answer your questions below…

  • Q: Where is the venue? •
Witch Says: Frost and foremost…set your GPS to ESPA, also known as "East Side Performing Arts," located at 979 Springdale Rd., Austin, TX 78702. If you remember from October, the entrance to the UNDEAD Woods is at the back of the complex.

 • Q: What time should I be there? •
Witch Says: You and your snowmen should plan to arrive at the time on your ticket, snow sooner, snow later!

• Q: Where do I sit? •
Witch Says: The ticket you purchased is for a seat in either in the Yellow Zone (VIP Front Row Seating), or the Green Zone (VIP Bar Stool Seating), or the Blue Zone (General Admission Tiered Riser Seating). Each zone is frost come, frost served. You’ll have the opportunity to grab your seats when the time is right (you’ll snow exactly what that means when you get here).

  • Q: What time does the show start, and how long does it last? •
Witch Says: The blizzard will begin approximately 30minutes after the time on your ticket. The forecast says this blizzard will last approximately 90-minutes, with one 15-minute intermission.

• Q: What’s going on before the show? •
Witch Says: Those darn Penguins hosting a Penguin Raffle with lots of ho-ho-holiday goodies. You can also check out the Make-Your-Own-Snowflake Station and Winter Cocktail Bar while you wait for wintery invitation to go find your seats. Bring cash or venmo to buy your $5 tickets. (BTW! All proceeds go towards artist paychecks!)

 • Q: Where do I park? •
Witch Says: Witch, please. Note that the Winter Cocktail Bar is wide open, and we invite you to stay frosty, my friends, SO! we strongly encourage taking a Ride Share. If you do decide to drive, however, you can park your broomsticks behind the building at East Side Performing Arts (979 Sprindgale Rd., Suite 815, Austin, TX 78702).  Enter the parking lot near Black Feather Vintage; drive around to the back of the building. Head up the stairs towards Ground Floor Theatre; make a right, and head all the way down. The entrance to the UNDEAD Woods will be on your left

 • Q: What do I wear? •
Witch Says: I say…. if you’ve got it, haunt it. I love a good Halloween costume in the Winter—freeze the day! Otherwise, you can join the Village People of Winterland and wear you winter-best, in preparation for the annual Snowflake Ball.

 • Q: What is the recommended age and content in this show? •
Witch Says:
For the Evening Shows – Show content is Rated PG-13. The requested age for all evening shows is 13 & up. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to drink. The production of Frostbite contains theatrical fog/haze, bight lighting effects, and some loud noises.
For the Kids Interactive Shows (Dec.20 & Dec.21 @ 3:30pm) – The Kids Shows are abbreviated versions of the Evening Shows, and they are specifically customized for ages 12 & below, including on-stage dancing activities and photo opportunities with the cast after the show! Show runtime for the Kids Shows is approximately 50 minutes with no intermission. Please note that each child must have a Child Ticket, and each child must be accompanied by an adult with an Adult Ticket. (Multiple children can be accompanied by one adult.)

• Q: How close will the characters get to me? •
Witch Says: My friends here in the Undead Woods are tricksters, but the Winterland folks are little sweeter (until I have something to say about it, muahaha). They all like to get up-close-and-personal, but they will not touch you. Please, witches, feel free to winter-act, but don’t touch them!

 • Q: Will there be a bar? •
Witch Says: The Winter Cocktail Bar is poppin’ off this year (hey thanks, Tito). Bring some cash! I checked the spellbook, and the cauldron punch is witchin.’

 • Q: Can we buy tickets at the door? •
Witch Says: We will sell some limited tickets at the door, but it’s cheaper to buy online in advance! I definitely recommend buying in advance, though, since this brand new show will SELL OUT! Buy your tickets online NOW, or else we may have to say, “Boo, Felicia!”

 • Q: Is the venue wheelchair accessible? •
Witch Says: Both the venue access and the seating are located on the ground level. Give us a heads up (aW5mbyB8IHZlbnRhbmFiYWxsZXQgISBjb20=) if you need us to designate some specific wheelchair spots for your party. We know that not all witches ride brooms, so allow us to reserve a spot for you to get the most fa-boo-lous views.

Some parting words from the Witch…

We’re off to see the blizzard.
Get ready for all hail to break loose.

- THE WITCH
