Join Something!

The League of Women Voters invites you to Join Something! Admission is free. The afternoon will begin with a screening of the 2023 award-winning documentary Join or Die, which highlights the work of social scientist Robert Putnam, author of Bowling Alone. Through interviews and data, the film shows how participation in community organizations strengthens society and supports a healthy democracy. Immediately following the movie, attendees will have the opportunity to meet more than 15 community groups in the style of an Activity Fair. Participating organizations include the Aurora Audubon Society, Aurora Cub Scouts, Aurora Historical Society, CASA Associate Board, Food 2 Share, Friends of the Library, Habitat for Humanity, Hiram Historical Society, Moebius Nature Center, Portage Park District, Rotary Club, VFW Aurora, Zonta, and more.
