Join us for our monthly Grief Group: a gathering for people affected by any kind of loss. This FREE event is low-key with a focus on sharing and conversation. All adults (18+) of all genders are invited. We meet on the first Monday of every month at 6 pm.
We are located at: 140 S River St. Suite 114, Aurora
Here's what to expect at Grief Group:
1. Supportive, inclusive community: all are welcomed at The Perch.
2. A non-religious setting: while individuals may discuss how their faith and/or spirituality shows up in our grief, it's important to know that all faith traditions (and those with no faith tradition) will be affirmed and supported.
3. Discussion questions and practices that come from Navigating Grief by Mia Roldan. Amy Jackson, the facilitator, will pull from this resource. You do NOT need to have or own this book. If you want to purchase it, it is sold at The Perch and available at other sellers.
4. All kinds of grief welcome. Grief isn't just tied to the loss of a person--it can come on with change, missed expectations, relationship loss, the state of the world, and so much more. Please know that ALL grief (however big or small it may seem) is valid, and we'd love to have you as part of our group.
5. Light refreshments will be served, including tea and snacks.
