In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, InspiHER is honored to shine a light on Document the Abuse, a local nonprofit, for a powerful event centered on healing, awareness, and empowerment.
This community event will feature:
💜Talk with Norma Peterson
Founder of Document the Abuse and advocate for victim safety and education, Norma will share her powerful work and introduce the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit (EAA), a groundbreaking tool developed by author Susan Murphy-Milano to protect victims before it's too late. Norma trains professionals and advocates across the country to implement this innovative method of documentation. Her collaborative approach is led to partnerships with legislators domestic violence, coalition, and law-enforcement agencies.
💜Book Signing & Reading by Christal Gonzalez
Author of Soft Petal from Burnt Ashes, Christal will share her journey of survival, strength, and soft rebirth after the storm. Her heartfelt poetry and prose reflect the resilience of women who rise from pain with purpose.
