Join the Augusta Museum of History this summer for Hands On History Workshops.
On Saturday, September 6, the AMH will host another Hands On History Workshop, this time with a focus looms, lucets and the textile history of the Second City. AMH Director of Education Krystal Lyon will lead you on a brief tour of Augusta's textile history in the 1st floor gallery along with more information given in the classroom space.
Then Local artist A.C. Daniel will take over and show you fun ways to use your Colonial loom and lucet to create current works of art. The majority of the time will be spent figuring out the rhythm of the loom and lucet, getting creative with materials and having a great setting to connect with other historians and creatives.
