Often called the forbidden dance, Lambada is the vibrant, rhythmic root of Brazilian Zouk — and learning it will transform your Zouk!
By diving into Lambada, you’ll unlock the original flavour, energy, and body movement that gave birth to Zouk, adding depth, fire, and finesse to your dancing.
This isn’t just a new style — it’s a key to levelling up your Zouk with spicy, grounded technique and musicality that will set your social dancing on fire!
THE CONCEPT:
THREE WEEKENDS of PROGRESSIVE LAMBADA !!!!
Very exciting to finally have the opportunity to learn from the ground up in this dance - hence the three weekends. We have a few options for you all, so don't panic.
The first weekend is a stand alone and anyone can attend to learn across both Saturday and Sunday workshops. We will keep building though in the next two weekends, so for those you will need to have attended the first weekend for sure ;-)
So here are the details:
DATES
WEEKEND 1 - Lambada Technique & Moves:
June 7th (10-3pm) 8th (11.30-4pm) (Kinetic Studios, Lorne St)
WEEKEND 2 - Lambada Technique & Moves:
June 14th, 12-5pm (Empire Dance Studios)
WEEKEND 3 - Lambada Choreography:
June 21st, 12-5pm (Empire Dance Studios)
Three weekend Breakdown -
1st WEEKEND
Stand alone (7th / 8th June)
SAT: 4hr Progressive workshops incl. 1hr of practica (10-3pm) (Kinetic Studios, 18-20 Lorne St)
SAT PARTY: Br.ZOUK & LAMBADA party (Empire, Studio 1, 8pm)
SUN: 4hr Progressive workshops incl. 1hr of practica (11.30-4pm, Empire, Studio 2)
2nd WEEKEND
Progressive build on first wknd (14th June, Empire - Studio 2)
SAT: 4hr Progressive workshops incl. 1hr of practica (Empire, Studio 2, 12-5pm)
3rd WEEKEND
Choreography (20th June, Empire - Studio 2)
SAT: 3hr learning a Lambada Choreo from moves learnt across these weekends + 1hr of practica (Empire, Studio 2, 12-5pm)
PRICES -
First Weekend only + Sat Party = $220
Should you wish to do the other weekends (why wouldn't you ;-) ....... here are some great options for you:
1st & 2nd Weekend = Total price $310
1st / 2nd & 3rd Weekend = Total price $390
