The Buddy System - a 'learn-to-crochet' interactive experience

Learn simple stitches and create a crocheted flower which will be added to a growing wall of flowers and green chain stems. At the completion of the KNIT exhibition the installation will be disassembled and every flower will be posted as a special gift to someone nominated by each of the makers.
The Buddy System was first presented in the Bright Paradise exhibition at Toi ō Tamaki Auckland Art Gallery in 2001. 24 years on, visitors to KNIT are invited to join artist ‘Buddies’ Ani O'Neill, Megan Hansen-Knarhoi and Emily Siddell to share in the project again.

Thursday 11 am - 8 pm
Friday 11 am - 5 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
These 3 days of workshops are supported by funding from the Waitemata Local Board.
