Guest speaker: Luke Sutherland-Stacey, PhD - Founder of Weather Radar New Zealand
Dr Luke Sutherland-Stacey is the co-founder of Weather Radar NZ and a two-time Velocity Ideas Challenge winner. His team provides specialist weather and climate services and now collaborates with NASA to improve global rainfall observation systems.
Dr Sutherland-Stacey holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Auckland. His work bridges university research, industry, and global projects, demonstrating how innovative science can deliver real-world impact from supporting local councils and Watercare projects to advancing applied research at a global scale.
