Step into the spotlight.
Monologues is a four-week deep dive into the art of monologues. This workshop offers you the tools to create rich, compelling monologues, from scratch or with scripted material.
We’ll explore a wide range of unique structures for monologues, focusing on how content determines form. Each session will offer techniques to craft and perform powerful pieces, while navigating the triple role of writer, performer, and director of your own work.
Expect to work on:
- Monologues directed to oneself, others, or imagined realities
- Point of view and emotional depth
- Scene architecture for solo moments
- Developing both improvised and written pieces
- Exercises inspired by stage and screen monologue traditions
Each week brings new inspiration and techniques, building toward stronger, more personal performances.
