LEE TAMAHORI TRIBUTE 🕊️ 💙 THE EDGE (1997) 35mm Presentation

Rest in Peace Lee Tamahori. We have chosen to play THE EDGE to remember Lee, an emotional powerhouse of a movie on a beautiful 35mm print.

“Jaws with Paws” it was billed as, but there is so much more going on in David Mamet’s (Glengarry Glen Ross) excellent script. Featuring a perfect score by the legendary Jerry Goldsmith.

Primal fears, territory, fear, shame, love, jealousy, male rivalry, the isolationism of extreme wealth, and, most conspicuously, the survival of the fittest.

Sir Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin Star alongside Elle Mcpherson and Bart The Bear (the wonderful Kodiak Bear actor who stalks them).

Tamahori, a master at capturing beauty and brutality in one frame delivers a movie that stands along side Warriors.

We are blessed to have had Lee as a friend of Hollywood Avondale. We will miss him dearly.
