Te Mana Pākihi, Te Oranga Ki Ākarana and the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship are proud to present "Rebuilding trust in Health and Tech", an Innovation Wānanga that looks to bring a Te Ao Māori perspective to the worlds of hauora | health and matihiko | technology.

Join our insightful panel of kaikōrero | speakers as we explore a diverse range of kaupapa including Māori innovation, data soverignty and the process of rebuilding trust in our hapori | communities. While attending this wānanga, you will also get a chance to kōrero about the pātai | questions that matter to you most.

Guest speakers:

Xaviere Murray-Puhara Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti PorouXaviere is a founder and connector working at the intersection of AI, te reo Māori, entrepreneurship, and leadership. As co-founder of Tech Taniwha and kahu.code, she uplifts Māori in tech and helps emerging leaders walk confidently in both worlds.

Noah Appleby (Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki) Noah is a medical student completing an Honours degree focused on bariatric surgery and health equity through a kaupapa Māori lens. He is passionate about empowering Māori communities to thrive across all aspects of hauora.

Nathan (Ahurewa Matthew) Piahana Nathan is a founder and advocate with over 14 years in tech and corporate transformation. Through his pakihi Māori, he combines tikanga Māori, innovation, and storytelling to inspire intergenerational wealth and leadership.

Elai Tuivaiti (Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Ngāti Whakaue, Taranaki, Ngāti Hāmoa – Sāvaia & Falelātai)Elai is a fifth-year medical student undertaking research into bariatric surgery. Raised in Ōtāhuhu, he is committed to tackling health inequities affecting Māori, Pacific communities, and underserved populations.
