When: 2.5 hours, once a month — September to November
Where: Grow Space at Eden Park - 34 Walters Road, Mount Eden
Join the Grow Space whānau as we journey through the seasons together. Each month we’ll gather for a hands-on garden session focused on learning practical skills you can use to grow kai at home, whilst contributing towards supporting our community māra kai .
September – Seed Sowing & Garden Planning
Learn: Seasonal planning, sowing techniques, companion planting
Contribute: Sow two trays of seedlings — one for you to take home, and one for a neighbour
October – Planting Out & The World Under Our Feet
Learn: Transplanting seedlings, soil health, and compost
Contribute: Planting party to fill the beds at Grow Space
November – Garden Care & Maintenance
Learn: Watering strategies, plant supports, organic pest control
Contribute: Build a garden support structure with the Grow Space team
