Convert Grass to Garden: Free Workshop with Pare Planters

Having a home food garden is a great way to look after your whanau, your health, and it doesn't have to cost the earth.

In this free community workshop, learn how to transform a piece of your lawn into a garden using locally available, free resources with the 'lasagna' technique.

This is a hands-on workshop. Please bring:
-clothes and shoes you can get dirty
-garden gloves if you have them
-any organic materials that will break down eg cut grass, hedge trimmings, cow manure, leaves, cardboard, seaweed, ash, wood chips, sticks, logs, pinecones, pine needles, fruit/veggie food scraps (no meat, bread or cooked food), etc
-water bottle
