Build a compost bin from reclaimed wood, perfect for getting our new community garden thriving this spring!
The compost bin we make in the class is for use at the community garden, you will leave with the skills to build your own.You’ll also learn tips on composting, what to plant for healthy spring growth, and how to care for your garden as the weather warms.
While creating, you’ll get confident using power tools like a jigsaw, power drill, and sander, guided by our experienced tutor.
Come get crafty, learn new skills, and be part of something that grows!
There will be a health and safety briefing at the start of the workshop to inform participants of safety precautions before we begin using tools.
All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!), We will be working outside so please bring a hat and drink bottle.
The workshop will provide the following:
Health and safety briefing.
Step-by-step use of all tools
Personal attention where required
• Please note children are not able to attend with parents due to health and safety requirements, Teen are welcome with an atending adult.
• Please note that you need to arrive on time for the health and safety briefing to be able to take part in the rest of the class.

Parking: please note that we have parking available just inside the gate at Chamberlain Rd.
Please do not drive past the gravel and onto the concrete area.
