Dear Friends of CARE Humane Society,
From December 1st through January 31st, we begin our annual No More Wasted Lives Campaign — a campaign that lies at the heart of our mission and directly impacts every animal who comes through our doors.
At CARE Humane Society, every pet receives shelter, food, safety, medical care, and compassionate support — no matter where they come from or how long they stay. But providing this level of care is only possible through the generosity of people like you.
For Fiscal Year 2025–2026, our operating budget is $1,403,100, and 76% of that must be raised through donations and community support. That means we must secure $1,066,356 to continue funding the lifesaving programs our community depends on.
Here’s what your support truly means:
Dogs stay with us an average of 69 days
Cats stay an average of 31 days
It costs $31 per day to provide the basic care they rely on
And many of our animals require even more — heartworm treatment, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, specialty diets, or extended medical care. CARE covers these costs because every life is worth saving, and every animal deserves the chance to heal, grow, and find a loving home.
Your gift ensures No More Wasted Lives.
It provides:
Safe shelter
Basic and critical medical care
Food, supplies, and daily comfort
Time, compassion, and second chances
As we begin this year’s campaign, our goal is to raise $90,000, making this our largest annual fundraiser and a crucial part of maintaining our $1.4 million operating budget. Your support during this campaign directly impacts our ability to say “yes” when animals need us most.
✨ Every donation — big or small — makes a lifesaving difference.
