The Lydia's Lunch Bunch Podcast recently celebrated the release of its 250th episode. "LA's Afternoon Morning Show" is produced weekdays at Lydia Media in Auburn and aims to shine a positive light on the greater Lewiston-Auburn area.
Hosted by Mark Turcotte, Sara Poulin, and Lydia Media owner, Pam Ashby, the Lunch Bunch is the only show of its kind in the area, featuring local news, events, and interviews with people making a positive impact in our community. It also includes fun, recurring segments including Famous People Birthdays, On This Day, and Three Random Questions.
“It’s a fun format that has the feel of a traditional radio morning show,” said Turcotte. “Our focus is on the people of this area. Business and non-profit leaders, entertainers, educators, artists, athletes, and more. If you’re making waves in LA, our guest chair is open and we look forward to sharing your story.”
“With everything going on in the world, we hope the Lunch Bunch can be an outlet for positive energy—and maybe even give our listeners a good chuckle every now and then,” added Ashby.
Recent guests have included Maine Nordiques head coach/general manager Nick Skerlick, musician Toby McAllister, and Katie Lisnik of the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. The Lunch Bunch also has a mobile setup, allowing them to broadcast from area events like Great Falls Brewfest, The Squatch Open, Art Walk LA, and LA Metro Chamber Breakfasts.
