Refresher Reminder!!!! ICYMI in email.
Hello Lost Valley Patrollers:
We hope you had a great summer and are heading into fall looking forward to the winter season ahead at Lost Valley.
This message is a reminder that we have our annual OEC Refresher for Lost Valley Patrol scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 28 starting at 8 a.m. To help prepare for this please make sure you complete the online portion of the OEC refresher by logging into your National Ski Patrol account and going to the Learning Center section.
This refresher will be a joint effort between Lost Valley and Black Mountain of Maine patrols but we will have several visiting instructors and guests from Pleasant Mountain and Mt. Abram as well.
We are also welcoming several new candidates to our patrol at this refresher and welcoming several new patrollers who completed their OEC last winter. It's an exciting time with a lot of new faces joining our teams at Lost Valley and Black Mountain.
We are also sending out a giant THANK YOU to all the OEC instructors from Lost Valley and beyond who are helping us with this refresher. This effort is being spearheaded by our own Jamie Juntura, who is serving as the Instructor of Record, for this year's OEC. To pull off a successful refresher our instructors also have to refresh and will be doing so on the Sunday BEFORE -- keep that in mind and thank them for all the extra effort and time they have committed to help get us all refreshed.
Finally, please take a moment to think about the days you would like to volunteer this year so you can sign up for the schedule at refresher.
As always we are very appreciative for all the volunteer time and effort that you all donate to our patrol. During this year's refresher we will also take a moment to recognize and thank some of our outstanding volunteers. Please let us know if you would like to nominate anyone for recognition. Just reach out to Scott Thistle, Bill Skelton, or John Chasse directly if you have suggestions or ideas for awards -- we would like to have your input.
