On Friday 26th September, Heritage Malta invites you to a public lecture by Prof. Eleanor Scerri titled ‘New Findings from the Latnija Project‘ at the National Museum of Natural History in Mdina between 6pm – 8.30pm.
Prof. Scerri will be speaking about the Mesolithic – a newly discovered phase of human prehistory on Malta that links the occupation of the islands with a much deeper human past.
Cutting-edge science is shedding light on the incredible ecosystem and maritime knowledge of hunter-gatherers on Malta, as well as unravelling completely unknown connections in the Mesolithic Mediterranean. These results are re-writing everything we thought we knew about the capabilities, achievements and legacies of Europe’s last hunter-gatherers.
Tickets for the lecture cost €5 each and will be available to purchase at any Heritage Malta museum or site and online on Store – Heritage Malta closer to the date.
