As the state’s largest anti-hunger, anti-poverty organization, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey is daily on the front line of the fight against hunger in the Garden State. Hear from CFBNJ’s CEO Elizabeth McCarthy how they’re addressing unprecedented challenges: a 35 percent cut in federal food aid and the increased demand for their services from SNAP recipients and unpaid federal workers.

As we head into the holidays, when the FoodBank annually gives out record amounts of food, McCarthy will share how CFBNJ is broadcasting its message and seeking support for its mission.

We will be collecting donations of nonperishable items for the FoodBank at the meeting. Most needed items are:

· Canned fruits, vegetables, or beans

· Canned protein (tuna, salmon, chicken, etc.)

· Canned soup, stew, broth, pasta sauce

· Packaged foods (seeds, nuts, oats, granola, rice, quinoa, beans, pasta)

· Plastic jar foods (nut/seed butters, jelly, cooking oil)

· Shelf-stable milk (dairy, oat, nut, etc.)

· No glass or perishable items please!

RSVP by 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025. All RSVPs and online payments should be made through Eventbrite.
