Self-Defense: Goshin Jitsu and Hawaiian Martial Arts

Franko's self-defense classes will emphasize and teach stances, locks, escapes and vital points of attack. Incorporating strategies of risk assessment and practical self-defense, students will learn the Kihon… the basic principles of Dan Zan Ryu (Hawaiian Mountain School):

1) Yielding to Force, 2) Not relying on strength, 3) Connecting with your attacker, 4) Maintaining Ones Integrity, 5) Finding Stillness in the Center of the Storm, 6) Getting off the line of the attack, 7) Leading the mind of the aggressor, 8) Breaking the frame of your opponent, 9) Maintaining proper distance and 10) Neutralizing the Situation.

New stances, locks and escapes will be demonstrated each class; you can attend individual sessions or the entire 12 part series.
