Ikhlas Mohammed is the heart behind Nanna’s Sudanese Cuisine, a mother-daughter venture that celebrates the rich food traditions of Sudan and the strength of women who nourish their families through resilience and love.
An immigrant from Sudan now living in Atlanta, Ikhlas brings deep cultural roots and powerful storytelling to every dish. Nanna’s Sudanese Cuisine was born as a tribute to Ikhlas’s mother, Nanna, who once sold food on the streets of Khartoum to support her family. Together, they now share those beloved recipes—slow-cooked stews, fragrant spices, and soulful hospitality—with the Atlanta community and beyond.
