For the first time since 2014, November's 1st Saturday community drum circle falls on Halloween weekend. So, let's take this coincidence as an opportunity to have some fun with it! Come to the circle dressed as your favorite character or superhero, creature or otherworldly being, or bring out a favorite costume, cosplay or festival outfit. Whatever you choose, please keep in mind this is a community event and children will be present. Participation in that is, of course, completely optional. π
-------------------------
Join us around the fire on Saturday, November 1st, for an evening of rhythm, connection and community at the Lake Claire Community's next monthly drum circle. Established in 1991, this monthly tradition is the longest running drum circle in the Atlanta area.
β°
The circle starts in the evening at 8:00pm and lasts until 11:00pm, in the outdoor amphitheater, with the majority of late arrivals flowing in around 8:45-9:15pm.
πͺπͺπΆ
All percussion and rhythm instruments are welcomed as are all experience levels. Instruments are not provided by the circle though you may ask permission to borrow one from others. Singers are also welcomed.
ππΊ
Dancers may use the general area of the sand circle. Flow artists, with noncombustible props, may use both the stage and the area in front of the stage.
π₯
Fire performers must have a fire blanket, a spotter, and check in with Rusty Gilbert (firekeeper) upon arrival. Please wait until 9:15pm to perform for maximum audience exposure.
π
As always, this is a community event. Everyone is welcomed whether they choose to take part in co-creating the evening's magic or watch as it's being created.
π

Weather updates will be posted between 2:00 - 3:00pm the day of the circle. This is so current weather radars of the drum circle area can be reviewed.
ποΈ
Although this is one of our most popular offerings to the community, we also have other events throughout the month. For information on those events, please refer to the land trust's website and socials or the bulletin board near the front entrance during your next visit.
