HIV Innovation Sprint Discovery Day: Atlanta, GA

Whether you are someone living with HIV, a caregiver, a health educator, or a technologist, and/or you are someone who wants to make a real difference in your community, the HIV Innovation Sprint is for you.

We are thrilled to welcome a brand-new cohort in Atlanta to maintain the momentum that we have gained running this experience in three different cities across the Southeast- Birmingham, Miami, and New Orleans.

Progress has been made in HIV Prevention, but we’re not done. Too many people still lack access to the tools, care, and information they need to stay healthy. At the same time, many great ideas and resources aren’t making it to the communities that need them most. Discovery Day marks the beginning of our HIV Innovation Sprint in Atlanta and is about closing that gap.

Simply put, it is a one-day experience built around listening, learning, and collaboration. DHIT will bring together people from all walks of life to dig into what’s really happening locally, in Atlanta, when it comes to HIV prevention. It is also where new, purpose-built ideas will lead to real change, from the bottom up rather than the typical top-down processes you may be used to.

This will NOT be a conference held in a windowless hotel ballroom, full of boring presentations and lectures. It is a working session facilitated by us and led by you, where you will be asked to leverage the full spectrum of your brain power and creativity.

You’ll join a room (with windows 😉) full of people who care deeply about changing the healthcare continuum. Together, we’ll explore stories, insights, and opportunities, and start forming ideas for how we can do things differently, now. Then explore how technology can unlock the power of those collective ideas. It’s also the starting point for the HIV Innovation Sprint, where teams will go on to design and develop community-driven solutions in the weeks ahead.

We're thrilled to host our event in the beatuiful, modern space at Portal Innovations, who provides early‑stage biotech and medtech startups in Atlanta with seed funding, world‑class wet and dry lab space, management expertise, and network access, enabling local life‑science innovators to build and scale where they live.
