Join us Sunday, November 2, for a traditional Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival at Oakland Cemetery from 12-5pm! This FREE event is organized by the Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta and the Institute of Mexican Culture.

You can view elaborate display of offends or altars decorated with flowers, food, and beverages honoring lost family and friends.
Dressing up for the occasion is encouraged and admission is free!
👗 Catrinas and Catrins Costume Contest
There will be a Catrinas and Catrins costume contest with cash prizes for the first places (kids and adults). Register for this contest at the festival entrance. You will be required to get on stage where voting will take place. Prizes will be awarded.
🚗 Parking
Our two parking lots will be closed to the public during the event. We encourage guests to take Uber, Lyft, MARTA, or carpool. King Memorial MARTA station is just a short walk from Oakland. Inman Park, Candler Park, and East Lake stations all have plenty of free parking.
❓ Things to Know about the Day of the Dead Celebration
With the exception of service animals, pets will not be allowed at the Day of the Dead celebration.
