Beignet Basics

We’re excited to invite you to Beignet Basics: a hands-on New Orleans–style cooking experience—a fun and interactive class where you’ll learn how to make fresh, pillowy beignets from scratch.

You will be guided step by step through the beignet-making process, from mixing and resting the dough to frying and finishing. Along the way, we’ll share the technique, tips, and cultural background behind this iconic treat, so you leave with both skills and confidence to recreate it at home.

In this class, you’ll learn how to:
– Mix and handle classic beignet dough
– Understand proper resting and fermentation
– Fry beignets for light, fluffy results
– Finish and serve beignets the traditional way
– Avoid common mistakes home cooks make
