About this Event

ANJALI CAN! ATLANTA LAUNCH PARTY

Hosted by: South Asian Trailblazers & South Asian Working Moms

You’re invited to an unforgettable evening with acclaimed author, actress and producer Sheetal Sheth and special guest, acclaimed actor and director Manish Dayal as they explore the heart and soul behind the beloved Anjali book series.

Through powerful storytelling and heartfelt conversation, they’ll unpack what it really means to raise bold, empathetic, and action-driven kids in today’s world. Inspired by Anjali—a fearless, curious young girl who dares to speak up when it counts—this series is a celebration of identity, courage, and the belief that even our smallest voices can spark real change.

Join us for this intimate fireside chat as fellow parents Sheetal and Manish share personal stories, discuss the media landscape today, advocacy, and offer insights on how we can empower the next generation to lead with heart, resilience, and purpose.

Whether you're a parent, educator, community organizer or simply someone who believes in the power of storytelling to shape a better world—this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.

She is the author of several best selling books including the award winning Anjali children's book series (Penguin Random House), the first in this age group featuring an Indian American girl hero. Her most personal book, Making Happy is an ode to mental health. It was voted one of the best books of 2022 and won an IPPY Award. Sheetal focuses on highlighting traditionally marginalized communities in all of her work and is a fierce advocate for thoughtful representation. She is in post production on ‘Hummingbird,’ a feature film she stars in and produced and appears in the upcoming film Ella McCay with Jamie Lee Curtis and Kumail Nanjiani. You can see Sheetal on the cover of several magazines including Anokhi, Audrey, Woman International, Seema as well as featured in many magazines.

He got his start in national commercials and TV guest spots before landing a breakout role on 90210. His film credits also include Viceroy’s House and, more recently, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
