Info: We kick off AVC Fest with an evening of live performances, immersive projections, and a sneak peek into the TWENTY-FIVE gallery. Come early, grab a drink, and tap into the energy as we open the weekend with sound, movement, and bold visual storytelling.
Info: We’re celebrating the 5-year anniversary of TWENTY, a black-and-white observational film by Lev Omelchenko, originally shot in an Atlanta speakeasy during the height of 2020. Join us for a special screening, followed by a community conversation with the filmmaker and featured voices. While you're there, explore the TWENTY-FIVE gallery featuring powerful new work from Atlanta artists responding to the last five years.
Info: Spend the day exploring TWENTY-FIVE, our group exhibition featuring visual work from Atlanta-based artists reflecting on the past five years. From pieces created during the 2020 lockdown to recent works shaped by personal and collective shifts, the gallery offers an intimate look at resilience, expression, and transformation.
Info: This interactive workshop empowers artists to explore how emerging technologies—specifically AI and blockchain—are reshaping creative production, distribution, and ownership. Participants will engage in a conceptual discussion, experience real-world applications through an original card-based game (Nova), and gain hands-on exposure using a platform called Skylark to create their own community-building or artistic quest experiences.
Info: Dive into the Doc Block segment of AVC Fest, where we celebrate the art of documentary filmmaking. A Documentary Showcase, featuring a great selection of films that provide unique perspectives on real-world stories. Immediately following the screenings, join us for a Documentary Panel, where we’ll explore the challenges and opportunities in documentary filmmaking.
This segment is a must for documentary enthusiasts and filmmakers alike, offering a chance to engage with thought-provoking content and connect with those who bring these stories to life.
Info: Seeing Sounds is an interactive workshop where music and drawing inform each
other in real time. Illustrator/animator Anami leads participants in translating sound into lines,
tones, and color, while a live band (curated by Marcus Valentino / Audio_Video_Club) builds
songs layer by layer. Participants sketch along as music evolves, then share reflections on
perception and creativity. This format blends performance, education, and community
art-making.
Info: Step into a kaleidoscope of sound and vision during our Experimental Film Hour—a gallery-style screening featuring bold, boundary-pushing short films by local artists. Films will play on a continuous loop, inviting you to drop in, zone out, and experience moving image on your own terms. Come curious, stay as long as you like.
Info: Immerse yourself in the local film scene with Cinema Souterrain at AVC Fest. This special event features a curated lineup of films from some of Atlanta’s most talented filmmakers. Each film has been handpicked to showcase the creativity and innovation happening in our local community.
Following the screening, engage in a Q&A session with the filmmakers, offering a unique opportunity to explore the stories and inspiration behind their work. Cinema Souterrain is your chance to experience the best of Atlanta’s independent film scene all in one evening. Don’t miss out on this celebration of local talent!
